Choose a vacuum head for the surfaces you own
Identify the exact head, the flooring restrictions and the bundle contents before comparing extra attachments.
Updated:

Start at the part touching the floor
A vacuum body's features do not establish that every supplied head is suitable for every surface. Identify the floor-contact tool and the exact flooring care instructions first. A soft-looking material, a motorized brush or a hard-floor label should be read with the applicable restrictions, not treated as universal permission. The useful buying question is whether the required head is documented for both the machine and the surface you own.
Keep the surface name and finish in the record. A rug over hard flooring is another surface, not simply a different part of the same room. If a cleaner requires changing a head or setting at that boundary, include the change in the routine instead of assuming the machine can be used identically throughout the home.

Include the necessary head in the quote
Consider a hypothetical cleaner quote of $220 and a separately sold approved head costing $35. Adding the two gives a $255 equipment subtotal before tax, delivery or any other charges. These figures are invented planning inputs, not current offers. The arithmetic prevents a body-only comparison from hiding a required accessory. It does not prove that the accessory is suitable.
Save the exact included-parts list for each offer. A familiar product family may be sold in different bundles, so photographs of a large accessory collection can be misleading if the written list differs. Mark an item as included only when the actual listing supports that conclusion. Use the ownership-cost tool to add confirmed costs after the compatibility question is resolved.
Respect a flooring restriction even when a brush looks useful
Shaw's published Floorte care sheet says not to use rotating beater bars on the hard surfaces covered by that document. That is a specific flooring instruction, not a claim about every resilient floor. It illustrates why an appliance's general cleaning capability cannot overrule the care requirements of the installed material. Preserve the flooring collection and document scope when using the instruction.
The robot-underside photograph makes a brush arrangement visible. It does not show an approved combination for your floor or a test of scratching risk. A buying guide should distinguish what can be seen from what the documentation establishes. If the correct surface guidance is unavailable, keep the powered-brush decision unresolved rather than treating a visually gentle tool as sufficient evidence.

Review the head as an ownership item
Inspect the documented ordinary care for the head: which parts are user-accessible, what supplies are needed and how replacement components are identified. Do not infer that a removable-looking cover is intended for routine disassembly. A convenient purchase can become frustrating if the required care is unclear or the correct replacement part cannot be identified. These are questions to resolve before ordering, not repair instructions.
Keep accessory compatibility separate from physical connection. Similar-looking connectors can belong to different generations or systems. Record the manufacturer's fit statement and exact part designation. If you cannot find one, avoid buying on resemblance alone. The handheld photograph illustrates why a second accessory system needs its own evidence rather than an assumption that all vacuum tools interchange.
Shortlist the smallest useful accessory set
Name the tasks the current equipment cannot handle, then match only the required approved tools. An expansive attachment bundle may add little value if most pieces have no role in your home. Conversely, a modest bundle can be the wrong purchase if it omits the one floor head you need. A short task-to-tool list is easier to review than a feature count.
Before purchase, retain three records together: surface instructions, machine-and-head compatibility and the actual bundle contents. If any one is unresolved, do not call the setup a confirmed fit. After purchase, follow the exact manual for operation and care. Our diagrams explain the comparison method and hypothetical costs; they do not replace a manufacturer's accessory approval or a flooring care sheet.
